We value the belief of lifelong learning and strive to remain at the forefront of our profession through continuing education and to educate and inform our patients on all pertinent eye matters.

Protective Eyewear

Sunglasses

Many people think of sunglasses as a fashion accessory, and they ceratinly can be! But at Gem State Family Eyecare, we also think of them as a necessity to protect the eyes from harmful UV rays. We have both prescription and non-prescription sunglasses available in all the latest fashions for children and adults and all our sunglasses provide maximum protection from the sun with Ultraviolet coatings.

Contact Lenses

Advances in contact lens design and materials have made them a clear, comfortable, and healthy option for many people requiring vision correction. Before you move forward with getting contact lenses, you may have some questions and need to know everything about contact lenses, potential dangers, and choosing the right pair for you.

Frames & Lenses

Frames

We supply our patients with a variety of over 350 frame styles for men, women, teens, and children. Materials include strong and lightweight plastic and metal alloys such as titanium.

Lenses

Since life is full of different visual needs, we offer individual lenses for every task:

High Index Lenses that are thinner and lighter than ordinary lenses.

Eye Infection & Injury Treatment in Boise

Between playing sports, working around various outdoor materials, or just going about your daily life, there is a chance you could suffer from an eye injury or eye infection. The different injuries that can happen to your eyes over time or the infections you gather can cause problems that most general practitioners do not know about, allowing them to quickly dismiss you and your eye.

Instead of heading to the ER or to an urgent care clinic when you sustain an injury or develop an eye infection, schedule an appointment with your optometrist!

Eye Disease Diagnosis & Treatment

In Boise, we provide diagnosis, treatment, and management of diseases that affect the human eye and visual system. Several eye disease diagnoses present themselves in our office throughout the year.

Common Eye Conditions

We work closely with specialists in various diseases. Some of the most common conditions we see in our office include:

Comprehensive Eye Exams in Boise

Did you know that every eye exam is NOT the same?

At Gem State Eyecare, we provide two separate evaluations during your appointment:

Vision Evaluation

During the Vision Evaluation, we’ll see what we can do to make your vision the best it can be. This includes checking your vision to see if there are any changes since your last visit, and other typical procedures that help us understand what's going on with your vision right now.
